STYLING REQUIREMENTS

the standard soona shoot includes 1 photographer. the stylist is required when your goals are not possible with 1 photographer.

stylists add value by: 

• setting up scenes with products and props to recreate your shot list. inspo photos. mood boards. and ideas.

• ensuring all prep work is complete to quickly move along your shoot. (i.e. cutting and plating fresh ingredients)

• making real-time adjustments to products and props on set or on models 

• quality checking shots to ensure your shoot goals and brand styles are met

you will need styling when you need product or prop manipulation or have complex scenes setups. 

styling is required when you're looking for:

• complex product shots and setups (5+ products and props)

• complex group product shots and flat lays with 5+ products or props

• cutting and preparing fresh ingredients. flowers. and greenery

• food /beverage heating, prep, assembly, or plating

• beverage mixology and preparation

• creating patterns with props. products. or fresh ingredients

• swatching the product to show texture (on surfaces or models) 

• dripping the product (on surfaces or models)

• creating dewey effects on props or products

• creating or setting up lifestyle scenes

• pinning or manipulating clothing on models, boards, stands, racks,  or mannequins. 

• creating stylized looks on models using provided apparel and accessories

• decorating set with fresh ingredients, flowers, or greenery

• anti gravity shots to make items appear like they are floating

• custom set building to recreate scenes from inspiration images

• complex and neat product folds and stacks(sheets, bedding, clothing, towels, ect.)

• arranging soft good products that are larger than 3 ft by 3 ft as a backdrop (sheets, curtains, duvets, comforters, bedding, etc)

preparing. cutting. plating. fresh ingredients

styling is required when grocery items like fresh ingredients. flowers. or greenery to be cut. plated. or styled for the shoot. add grocery shopping to source fresh ingredients. flowers. or greenery. 

bedroom (full-sized bed in frame)

• when a bedroom scene is in the shotlist and requires a full-size bed and furniture to be visible and styled in the frame.

kitchen

• setting up a kitchen scene with 5+ props or products (silverware. plates. pots. pans. boards. fabrics). 

• cleaning and placing props inside the fridge for “inside the fridge” shots. 

living room

• moving studio furniture and placing 5+ props to create a living room scene.

other 

• creating atypical lifestyle scenes with props (office. garage. gym. baby nursery. storage closet. playroom).
